Feeling crafty!

So excited that it is close to winter!  Besides the cold, I love winter!  Especially the fun things to do with winter for art!!!  We just made melted snowmen,  snow flakes,  penguins,  and more snow flakes!!!  Also used a lot of glitter!!

Melted snowmen: we took cold glue and shaving cream and mixed in glitter!  The kids loved feeling the cold 'snow'!  After it dried,  we put snowman dressings on all over!

Penguins: painted their feet black and then glued on noses and drew eyes!

Snow flakes: hot glued popsicle sticks and let them paint with glitter paint

Also did foam snow flakes and hand print snow flakes as well!

Next week we are stomping with boots,  making hats,  painting with gloves,  and making scarfs!!  So excited!!

Parents morning out!

Yesterday we had an event for the kiddos!  It was so much fun to have the kids on a Saturday with older siblings!!!

We did crafts,  movie, and a yummy snack!!

One reason why I love my job,  we really appreciate our families and do fun things for them!  Parents morning out was a lot of fun.  We really only had a few minor hiccups.

I wish we did this more than just in December.  I think it would be fun to have a fun thing like this once every few months.

Preschool love!!

The start of something fun!

Next week we are beginning to talk about winter and who better then a snowman represents winter!!!

More pictures once my door and bulletin board are complete!

First Post!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to try this out and see how having a blog can help me express myself, frustrations, and my joy of being a Preschool teacher! A little about me, I am working on my journey to get my degree so I can be a lead teacher. It has been a long and interesting road getting to this point. I will have my Associates at the end of February and then come fall I will be going for my Bachelors!

I am originally from Michigan and took the big leap and moved to Pennsylvania last January! Wow, I have almost been here a year! It has had its ups and downs, but the best thing to happen to me was getting my full time job at the center.

I work in the three year old classroom and we are an inclusion classroom. This means that we have both typical and special needs all in one room! Makes life very interesting!

In this blog, I am going to post fun things we are doing in the classroom! If I post any pictures, they will not have my preschoolers in the photos because of our confidentiality rules. However, I will be posting pictures of some of the lessons that we are working on. Pictures of some of the art and science things.

I am very excited to start this journey as a blogger!

Always,
Randi
